  1. TITLE: Report on Coordination of Mayoral Imbizo
  2. PURPOSE: TO REPORT ON THE ISSUES RAISED DURING THE MAYORAL IMBIZO IN WARD 15 & 16
  3. BACKGROUND: The Mayor of Molemole Municipality has organized an imbizo to meet the communities from villages from the recently disestablished Aganang municipality. The Event was organized as follows:

4.ISSUES RAISED DURING THE IMBIZO SESSIONS
4.1 MAYORAL IMBIZO WARD 16
VILLAGEISSUES RAISED
Ga-Phaudi
  • Incomplete RDP housing project: -Slaps for houses standing for last five years. Mayor requested to make follow ups. Bricks are still there. Suspicions that the contractor deserted the project after being paid.
  • Shortage of consistent water supply
  • Poor road infrastructure
  • Clarity required on which villages constitute Ward 16: -Suspicion of confusion among community members on which villages constitute the ward
  • Need for storm water drainage system to make roads passable during heavy rains
Florah
  • Need for Storm water drainage: -To assist during rainy season as children are unable to go to school.
  • Gravel to Tar project -Lonsdale to Flora. Need clarity on the number kilometers to be upgraded
Leweng (Phago) a. Leaking dam need to be fixed
Maribana a. Need for chairs for the Community Hall:
- Old chairs, tables and computers taken by Polokwane Municipality after disestablishment. The matter should be investigated and a feedback provided to the community.
- Need for grading of roads between GA-Piet and Maribana to make them passable during heavy rains
- What will happen to Assets/equipment belonging to the community under the former, Aganang.
- Which assets have been transferred to Molemole Municipality.
- D3332 Road. Upgrading of the road passing at Rankwe to Tar. (Request help from CDM).
- Need for pump operators for water supply
- There is insufficient number of Pump operators in the Area:
